Because I’m a genius! Lorenza Mazzetti has been selected at BAFICI - Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente 2017!
The documentary will be presented in Cinephilias section. The festival will be held from the 19^th to the 30^th of April.

Steve Della Casa received a Special Nastro D’Argento for the documentaries Because I’m a genius! Lorenza Mazzetti and Nessuno ci può giudicare.

Because I’m a genius! Lorenza Mazzetti directed by Steve Della Casa and Francesco Frisari, tells the story of Lorenza Mazzetti, the director who in the 1950′s revolutionized the British Film Industry, and founded the Free Cinema Movement. The documentary was premiered at the Venice Film Festival 2016 – Venice Classics.

“Castro” wins Italian Competition at Festival dei Popoli 2016

Paolo Civati’s first documentary film Castro won Best Italian Documentary at the Festival dei Popoli 2016.

Castro was an occupied building in Rome, Italy. A shelter for those left behind, for many people a home which none of them owned. For more than ten years it has been a chance of life for many families. More than a year in the making to reveal the everyday life of a community living in extraordinary circumstances. The documentary won the MyMovies Award, Cinemaitaliano.info – CG Entertainment Award (Home-video distribution), Imperdibili Award (Theatrical distribution).

The story of an artist who never shied from facing and adapting to the changes of European History, but who even when confronting them, never lost sight of her own personality.
A story of courage, individual initiative and sense of humour.

This evening, the documentary “Because I am a genius! Lorenza Mazzetti” will be premiered at 73rd Venice International Film Festival in Venice Classics section.

The screenings will be free and the coupons can be picked up directly at Biennale’s Infopoint!

THE VENICE GHETTO – 500 YEARS OF LIFE: A JOURNEY THROUGH FESTIVALS

World premiered on 6 September 2015 in Venice, in agreement with Venice Days (Venice Film Festival), The Venice Ghetto – 500 years of life has immediately catched the interest of major festivals dedicated to Jewish history and culture, starting a journey through the world.

Within the Jewish Film Festival, it was screened in Jerusalem, London, Glasgow, Toronto, Geneva, Atlanta and Boston and it was in competition at Bucharest Jewish Film Festival 2016.

It continued with more screenings during the Rassegna del Nuovo Cinema Israeliano (Milan, 2016) and then returned to Venice in 2016 at the Rassegna Cinematografica “In Ghetto, oltre il Ghetto”.

The journey is not over.
