The rooftop view of the Acropolis at night was simply breathtaking — one of the most beautiful spots in Athens. With its alternative and contemporary vibe, Bios terrace bar offers a unique experience for those looking to explore Athens' nightlife scene. If you can ignore the rigid "etiquette" demands, the drinks are worth the visit—just leave the deck of cards at home. It feels less like high-end service and more like being monitored by a stern proctor. The music was nice, the food was okay, and the crowd was pleasant. The second time around, the bartender, instead of making me a Vesper, pushed a premade drink on me.

They offer lots of bean options, so I asked for a light and fruity recommendation but my coffee still tasted like a darker roast. Good specialty coffee, but kind of a chaotic experience and the coffee was a bit too dark for my taste. They charge €3 for a glass, but they don’t mention the exact quantity served when the next option is 250ml ml at €6.

I should set expectations, though. We selected a table on the balcony upstairs with a lovely view. The Greek salad was also very good, made with fresh and tasty ingredients. We visited Καφενείο Η Ωραία Ελλάς twice, and it’s a very atmospheric and charming place. Everything about this place feels special, from the food to the atmosphere. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable.

We came here for breakfast every morning! We also had a great time while my son and my spouse enjoyed playing chess…Definitely worth a try! You can enjoy your coffee or drink in an inner courtyard, surrounded by rooms that host rotating exhibitions. A beautiful and unique space housed in an old Athenian building—though I searched, I couldn’t uncover its original use. We went on a busy Friday around noon and still found plenty of space to chill and listen to music. Third Place is a hip cafe with modern interior design, pleasant music, a chill atmosphere and clean bathrooms.

Is my place to have a coffee, do some writing, watch people pass by and have a delicious toast. The portion was generous, easily enough for two people to share. Food quality is very good, staff are friendly, service is a bit slow but totally worth the wait. Nice selection of food, drinks and coffee. Beautiful place for a breakfast or a brunch. The café's country-chic ambiance and terrace make it a popular spot for people-watching.

That said, the food and atmosphere were genuinely enjoyable, and I would visit again, just with lower expectations regarding the service. The Matcha here is too sweet, so we didn’t like it, however the coffee and the yogurt was tasty. While it may get crowded on weekends, it's an ideal place for reading or enjoying a midday prosecco or healthy juice during weekdays.
